Currently it is a pure virtual reality game with plans to make it more immersive with IK Animation. I have done IK animation in the past and am currently in the process of making cockpit animations.
I created the engine sounds using Native Instruments MASSIVE. I split the engine RPMs into 6 "keyframe" sound clips that are blended together to create a smooth sound transition from zero to max RPM. There are several layers of different noises that I have added on top of the base engine sound to give it a more gritty sound.
I created some concept sketches to give to a 3d modeller in order to turn it into 3D.
Gameplay physics is achieved via using Newtonian forces.
Zoom blur isn't available in VR so I have achieved a similar effect using a variety of particle effects such as speed lines, cylindrical meshes with cloud textures around Camera and dust clouds in the distance.
I created the HUD in Adobe Illustrator.
